The dream catcher, or dream net, stems from an ancient Chippewa tradition and legend. For generations, dream catchers were used to protect and inspire those who slept. Hung above the bed or cradle, or high up in the lodge, the dream net served the dual purpose of catching bad dreams while allowing good dreams to slip by. Since our members share the dream of finding lasting and meaningful relationships, our SoulWeavers DreamCatcher is here to facilitate this process. Like a traditional dream catcher, yours will work while youre asleep (in other words, not online). Symbolically, it will entangle bad dreams or bad fits in its sinew thread, while allowing good dreams or dreamy fits to slip through its center hole ... and into your life.
Technically, how does the DreamCatcher work?
The DreamCatcher is like a custom designed search engine. It allows you to describe what you are looking for, and then over time, it finds the people who fit your description. Once you press send, you can relax, let go, and allow your DreamCatcher to kick in. As new members enter the SoulWeavers community, the DreamCatcher will find those that most closely resemble your wishes. It will then send you messages (via email) to announce their arrival.
Whenever you want, you can go to your private DreamCatcher page at Soul Weavers. There you will find a growing list of potential kindred spirits. Relying on your strong intuition, adventurous nature, and the spirit of the DreamCatcher, you can more deeply explore the profiles on your list. For the ones that seem to glow, simply add them to your List of Favorites by first clicking on the check box at the right of the profiles, and then clicking on Add Checked User to Favorites. For the ones that dont, just check that same little box at the right of the profiles and click Remove Checked User.

What is the meaning of the rose?
We see the rose as a sweet symbol of curiosity, not a life time commitment.
Whenever you add someone to your List of Favorites, he or she automatically receives a virtual rose.
The rose and your SoulName appear on this person's List of Favorites.
Only Premium Members can send roses; all members can receive them.
