How do I start?
You can start by becoming a Basic Member. All you need to do is:

• go to the Sign Up Page
  
• enter your email address and choose a SoulName
  
• make sure to read the Terms of Use and check the box, “I accept these terms.”
  
• finally, click on the “Send” button. That's it. You're a Basic Member.

How do I choose a SoulName?
Find a name that reflects something unique or essential about you. The name may have letters, numbers or some combination of the two. The best way to tell whether you’ve chosen the right SoulName is to see how it feels when rolling off your tongue, or dancing through your finger tips!

Technical guidelines to keep in mind:

• Your SoulName must be original. (If someone else has the name you’ve chosen, you may need to use another name, or make a small adjustment to the name, like adding your favorite number to it.)
  
• Your SoulName must be no more than 12 characters long.
  
• Your SoulName should consist of letters and/or numbers. Dashes and underscores are also okay.
  
• Apostrophes (’), quotation marks (“) and empty spaces are all off limits.

Can I choose my own password?
When you sign up for the first time, you automatically receive a password by e-mail. If you want to choose your own password, you can certainly do so. Just:

• login
  
• go to the "My Profile" page
  
• enter your chosen password in the “password” fields

Note: Your password can be anything you like, as long as it doesn’t exceed 8 characters and doesn’t contain apostrophes (‘), quotation marks (“) or empty spaces.

What should I enter as my email address?
Your correct email address! Since your experience at SoulWeavers will largely depend on our ability to communicate with you via email, we encourage you to double check the email address you enter. Remember, we consider your email address to be your Private Personal Information. It will be kept completely confidential. (For more information about our Privacy Policy, click here.)

For those of you who are less experienced travelers in the land of technology, keep the following in mind:

The email address you enter should contain:

• a sequence of characters (usually a name or word)
  
• the “@” sign
  
• a name associated with your provider such as "aol", "yahoo", "pacbell", "hotmail", "home", ect.
• a domain suffix (eg. “.com” , “.net” , “.org” , etc.)
  
  (in that order!)
  

Your email address should not:

• contain spaces
  
• contain commas, apostrophes (‘) or quotation marks (“)
  
• begin with “www”

What is the difference between being a Basic Member and a Premium Member?
Basic Members of the SoulWeavers community can:

• enjoy SoulWeavers for free!
  
• have their own SoulName (username) and password
  
• create an in-depth personal profile (which can later be activated)
  
• search the SoulWeavers community base as much as they like
  
• use the “DreamCatcher” function, which lets them know of Premium Members who match their wish-list
  
• learn how many people would be led to their profile if their profile were activated
  (through a weekly email from SoulWeavers)
  
• put together a handpicked “List of Favorites”

Basic Members cannot:

• add people to their “List of Favorites” (send virtual roses )
  
• initiate contact with other members of the SoulWeavers community

Premium Members of the SoulWeavers community can do everything Basic Members can do, plus they can:

add people to their “List of Favorites” (send virtual roses )


initiate contact with other members of the SoulWeavers community

If you’re feeling adventurous and are ready to go, Premium Membership is the right choice for you. To become a Premium Member, login and click the "Premium" link in the menu.

What if I try to become a Basic Member, but am told I already am a member?
Unless you’ve accidentally typed in the wrong email address, someone associated with your email address has already set up a Basic Membership. Try going here and entering your address in the second field, the one that asks for an email address. Once you’ve entered the information, you can check your email. There you should find a message from SoulWeavers providing you with the password and SoulName connected to your email address.
